Stages of Health

The Early Years

When we are younger it is common to ignore injuries or push through the pain.  As your body is in a phase of life where you can adapt and survive until the injury heals.  You don’t often see the longer-term consequences of your choice.  It’s not until the middle years of life that you see how your body adapted to your injuries and created more challanges. 

The Middle Years

Your body changes during the middle years of life, and the injuries you ignore start to catch up with you. You will see this mainly through reduced movement and longer recovery times.  We commonly see how you have changed how you walk or move your shoulder and neck as your body adapts to tight muscles and joints, leading to new aches and pain. 

The Latter Years

This is the time when all the work you have put in over the years rewards you or if you have not taken care of yourself leads to suffering.  The benefits of taking even a small amount of time to care for your health in younger years pays off greatly, during this stage of life.  Its the difference between living a full retirement and not.
